Geocaching with Geocacher Ken

 Good morning everyone.  Today we stop in the panhandle state.  The most favorite geocache in Florida is 'Magic Kingdom'  GC10FB.  Placed in July, 2001, this virtual has been logged 12,755 times and has 1,397 favorite points.  It can be found at the center of Magic Kingdom in Disney world.  The very first geocache placed was 'Point Washington'  GC5E.  Hidden in September, 2000, it was found 22 times and no favorite points before being archived in 2002.  The oldest active geocache is very appropriately called 'Christmas Cache' GCFA.  Hidden on December 25, 2000, it has been found 1,203 times and has 499 favorite points.  Good morning everyone.  Today we look at the first State listed alphabetically, Alabama, for it's oldest and most favorite geocache.  'L'hotel de Bogue de voyage (The travel bug hotel)' GC15QQ7 is the most favorite cache.  Placed in September, 2007, it has been found 1,211 times and has 522 favorite points.  The very first geocache hidden in this State is 'Trussville Civilian - Alabama's First Cache' GC126.  Hidden in January, 2001 (it'll be 20 years old next month), it has been found 1,937 times and has 486 favorite points. This week I continue with the Adventure Labs I did in Transcona.  This one had me doing more reminiscing about my younger days.  Back to a time of innocence and disco.  A time before cell phones and geocaching.  This Adventure Lab was put together by PelikanKru and it's called 'Things to do Around Transcona'.  Good morning everyone.  Heading along the Gulf Coast, we stop in Mississippi.  The oldest active geocache is also the first one placed (it's nice to see the original geocaches survive the test of time).  Bonita Lakes GC90.  Placed in October, 2000, it has been found 1,362 times and has 443 favorite points.  It is also the most favorite cache in Mississippi.  The second most favorite geocache is Wilson House Travel Bug Inn  GCNZQB.  Hidden in May, 2005, this geocache has been found 2,162 times and has 424 favorite points.  Good morning everyone.  Today we stop in Louisiana for the oldest and most favorite geocaches.  The first geocache placed was 'Wilson' GC27D.  It was placed in February, 2001 and found 29 times.  It was confiscated (you read that right) by National Park Services in August, 2002 and archived shortly thereafter.  The oldest active geocache is 'Wild Azalea Cache' GC763.  Hidden in April, 2001, found 509 times with 200 favorite points. The most favorite geocache is 'View Carre' GCE02C.  Hidden in March 2003, it was found 2,366 times before being archived in 2017.  It had 928 favorite points.  As for active geocaches, 'Marie Laveau, Voodoo Queen' GCGFHX has 519 favorite points.  This virtual was placed in the French Quarter of New Orleans in July, 2003 and has 3,268 found logs.  Good morning everyone.  Today we'll be stopping in Arkansas, home of former President, Bill Clinton.  The most favorite cache and the oldest is 'Gorilla Stash' GC1B.  Hidden in June, 2000, it has 669 favorite points and 2,134 found logs.  This cache can be found in the city of Mountain Home, close to the Arkansas/Missouri border.   Last week I did one of two (at that time) Adventure Labs located in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba.  The final stage that I did for that one is just a short walk away from the starting point of the the second Adventure Lab.  The second Adventure Lab takes you to some Roadside Attractions that can be found around Portage La Prairie.  If you've been following me long enough, then you know how much I love roadside attractions.  I do have to admit that I have been to a few of the attractions that this particular Lab cache will take us, but there was a couple that I didn't know about until now.
