Geocaching and My Week in Pictures pt 5.

Good morning everyone. I had hopes of doing a review of the films in this year's GIFF 2021.  Problem is, there are seventeen entries to review.  That could make for a lengthy blog.  I did attend a GiFF event here.  This interesting fact was provided by our host, dani_carriere.  November 21st was the last day to host official GIFF events.  The GIFF event in Winnipeg was the last official event in the world.  You didn't have to attend an event to see the entries.  Geocaching has released the reel on their YouTube channel for everyone to see.  There is a survey you can do after you have watched all the films.  You are voting for your favorite entry. When you review something, you give both the good and bad on the subject.  All seventeen entries are better than what I could possibly do, so I shouldn't be critical.  They are all uniquely different.  Some of my favorites are 'Got a Pen?', 'Signal Academy', 'First Hide', and 'Muggle Madness'.  You c

Good morning everyone. Winter is officially here if you're using snowfall as a guide.  Now I have to pay more attention to the attributes and in particular, Winter friendly vs not Winter friendly.  I also have to make sure I have my flashlight with me now.  This past Tuesday I didn't.  From the time I got off work and made my way across the city to the Lindenwoods area, the sun was already setting and I still didn't have my first cache found.  I needed six finds for this day.  As mentioned, I need to pay attention to the attributes.  The first one isn't Winter friendly.  I noticed this after I got out of the car and was walking towards GZ.  I'm already headed that way, may as well continue and see how not Winter friendly it is.  Fortunately, it's still above the snow. I managed to catch some sunset colors before replacing the container. On my way back to my car, I noticed a full moon coming up in the East.  It doesn't look as spectacu

Geocaching and My Week in Pictures pt. 3

Good morning everyone. I continued this past week with my goal to fill in each day on my Day Found Calendar with a minimum of eleven finds.  I took advantage of the unseasonably nice weather to fill this past week in. Sunday:  I needed four finds and opted to cache out the suburb of Windsor Park.  The first two were caches I've never been to yet.  Both were very quick finds. Who doesn't love the fake bird house?  When I have a goal to meet, quick finds like this are very much appreciated. This is a unique container.  Another quick find as I walked up to GZ.  Next up was a previous DNF.  This time I reached out to the CO for a hint.  I had spotted something that made me go hmmmmm?  I was on the right path and the CO confirmed that.  This one took the longest to find, but it felt good to get that blue face off my geocaching map.  The final cache for the day I was at previously.  It was a Saturday afternoon and the nearby business was open with enough muggl

Geocaching and My Week in Pictures pt. 2

Good morning everyone. I haven't been posting an interesting stat at the start of my blogs for a couple of weeks now.  For the most part it's because I haven't spent much time on my laptop to do the research.  I will have an interesting stat a little further down in today's blog.  I think I'll be sticking with the recapping of my geocaching week moving forward for now.  I will be busy trying to fill in my date found calendar so every day shows a minimum of eleven finds.  As long as I remember to take pictures, this will be easier to maintain a weekly blog while I continue to sort stuff out personally.  Without further adieu, let's look at the week that was. For majority of the week, I didn't need to go geocaching.  All the days have a minimum of eleven finds already.  I did attend a CITO last Saturday.  Basically, no geocaching until this past Friday.  I needed seven finds for that day.  After work, I headed back out the the power trail that I've been pi
